In 1941, Krystia lives in a small Ukrainian village that's under control of the cruel Soviets. When the Nazis liberate her town, many of the townspeople welcome the troops, hoping that life will improve. When the Nazis begin blaming the town's Jewish residents for murders they didn't commit and forcing them into a ghetto, Krystia has to decide if she will risk everything to help her friends and neighbors.
