Kiva and her best friend Seth wake up one day to discover they've been living a lie. While they've been growing up in ancient Alexandria through virtual reality, their bodies have been sleeping in a chamber floating through space. They discover that Earth is gone, and their shuttle needs a part in order to keep running. The two set out to find the part in an escape shuttle but soon realize not all the survivors in the other vessels they encounter on their mission are friendly.
