Seventeen-year-old Kol is a hunter, but when food becomes scarce, Kol's clan faces an uncertain future. When a new traveling clan arrives at Kol's camp, he becomes close with Mya, until a third clan arrives on their land. Kol learns of a brutal rivalry between Mya and Lo, a girl from the third clan. When violence erupts between the clans, Kol must choose who to trust and who to leave behind.
