Eleven-year-old Rigel Harman's life life changed when her parents got divorced. She's grown up in the Alaskan wilderness, and now she has to move to the suburbs of Connecticut with her mother. But her father promises her that if she can stick it out for a year, she can go back to Alaska. But surviving middle school proves to be harder than living off the grid.
