Eight-year-old Jolene loves traveling with her dad in his big eighteen-wheeler. This year they're driving to Los Angeles to deliver newsprint. They tell stories, listen to music, and try to answer some of life's big questions. But this year is different: it's the first trip since Jolene's parents divorced and her father's boyfriend moved in. After a scary incident on the road, Jolene learns an important lesson about kindness and standing up for what is right.
