After a poor man steals rapunzel herbs from a witch's garden to heal his sick, pregnant wife, the couple is forced to give the witch their baby. The baby girl, Rapunzel, grows up with the witch, and the witch locks her away in a tower to keep her all to herself. One day, a prince finds her, and they make a plan to free Rapunzel. But the witch discovers the plan, cuts Rapunzel's hair, and blinds the prince. Eventually, Rapunzel and the prince find each other, and Rapunzel's tears heal the prince.
